Mural Outing

We did a self guided tour through Calgary’s Beltline District to see the murals. The Beltline Urban Murals Project (BUMP) was launched in 2017 by the Neighborhood Association to, among other things, bring more public art into the Beltline and build community.

Created by local and internationally renowned artists all the murals were within walking distance of each other and feature a variety of subjects from geometrics and abstracts to more realistic presentations. There was something for everyone! It was a super fun way to see a part of the city I never get to, meet new club members and try a genre of photography I don’t usually do! -Thia
